Sadiq Shafiq is an energy and water executive with 25 years of experience in advisory, project development, and execution phases of projects in Africa, Middle East and India.

He has senior management experience leading businesses across technical, commercial and business development for global tier-one consulting firms and within the project developer.

Sadiq has highly relevant experience from business start-up, early establishment and growing business organically and through acquisition.

Sadiq works closely across project stake-holders, including lenders, developer and contractors through from initial conceptualization to execution.

Simon Don

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Simon has over 20+ years’ experience in the design of subsea facilities within the offshore O&G industry covering key positions, including project and technical management, for various Tier-1 engineering services companies. The last 15 years’ experience has been gained in technical management of state-of-art offshore developments.

Simon brings a terrific experience in the delivery of subsea projects, ranging from concept development to detail design of shallow and deep water infrastructure.

Michael is a UK Chartered Accountant with 30+ years of African experience with PwC and in a variety of senior financial and operational roles in the manufacturing, mining and renewable energy sectors.

Fluent French speaker with broad experience within the Francophone Africa legal and financial
framework (SYSCOHADA), professional advisor with PwC in Africa and with the EU PHARE and TACIS programs in Eastern Europe and former CIS countries, evaluating investment opportunities.

MIchael is also a global advisor on computer systems upgrades and integration, streamlining procedures and
ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities within a number of multinationals.

Maarten van Wesemael

ADVISOR - PROJECT FINANCE

Maarten is an experienced Energy and Commodities Banker, passionate about the energy transition journey and the key role of the traditional oil and gas sector with the balance sheet, people and experience for large scale, complex energy projects.
He is well known for establishing long-standing relationships, and for “getting finance done”. He has been commended for his innovative approach in top tier trade banking DCM by multiple super majors and major trading houses in such specialist areas as structured receivables purchasing; refiner receivables back securitisation, trader senior pre-export debt.

Maarten brings a very important dimension to the Deltasource model and has been active on a number of projects across our ambitious energy and natural resources portfolio.

Carl Sykes

Carl Sykes is a Senior Manager with more than 30 years of experience in the Energy (Oil & Gas and Power) and Infrastructure Sectors working for Engineering & Project Management Consultants and EPC Contractors in a variety of assignment locations including the Middle East (Egypt, Qatar, Abu Dhabi), Europe (France, Italy, United Kingdom, Norway) and Africa (Ghana).

Built on a strong engineering foundation, Carl has extensive in General Management roles – setting up, restructuring, growing and downsizing offices responsible for teams of up to 500 staff and annual P&L responsibility up to $80m and in Business Unit Management roles – developing and implementing Strategy company strategy, BD and Proposals Management and Client Management, with regional responsibility of 700 staff annual budgets up to $80m. Carl is passionate in providing leadership of Energy Transition in light of the significant global changes to the energy sector, in particular decarbonization, Renewables, Carbon Neutral systems, Energy efficient facilities and digital transformation.

Garry P Mahoney

Garry is Chairman of Deltasource's multi-family office, investing in natural resources, energy and technology projects, and Technical Director of the investment committee and complementary advisory business.

Garry previously held directorships and senior executive leadership positions in the BP, ENI/Saipem and Worley groups covering oil and gas, energy and technology sectors, including Senior-VP Global Business Development, CTO, Technical Director and Corporate Engineering and Technical Authority.

He was also previously Technical Director at Opensource Capital and SI Capital, a full-service stockbroker specialising in the capital markets activity of small cap. mining and energy sectors. Garry has has played key roles in pre-IPO financing, M&A, IPOs and project development finance.

Garry's has broad commercial and technical expertise in project appraisal, structuring, equity/debt financing, and governance oversight of capital project delivery and asset operation.
